One of the greatest Floyd songs ever. The mood changes and effects are just magical. The song uses no lyrics at al yet manages to take your mind on a journey that is defiantly beyond words.

This song is so elegant and poetic. It is a yearning for the simplicity of childhood and the philosophical arguments as to why we not return to that basic state of mind, and why time must pass. “why can't we blow the years away” “why can't we play today”

Julia Dream:

One of my favorites, the mood of this song sums up the psychedelic experience

Careful with that axe Eugene:

A nice prelude to the screaming vocals that come at you about three minutes into the song.

Cirrus Minor:

This is a very Avant-garde piece. Like many Floyd songs it opens with sound, this time birds chirping, which we see again in the Wall & Ummagumma. It sounds like an electric folk song with drifty fleeting stanzas about a journey.

The Nile Song:

A very heavy song for the band. It is almost punk with its screaming lyrics and pounding back beat. It is the main characters apocalyptic foreshadowed doom.

Biding my Time:

An early song written by Roger Waters

Bike:

This song stands out from the rest of the album. It is a cheerful romantic upbeat song sung to a girl.
