A momentary Lapse of Reason was the first album to premiere after Roger Waters left the band. The album is largely a David Gilmore project. Roger Waters had declared that Pink Floyd ended in 1985. After many legal battles David Gilmore was allowed to continue using the name Pink Floyd, but Waters kept many of te rights to the imagery he had created.
